Senior/Semi Senior Accountant, Hereford, Upto £34,000 + Generous new client acquisition bonus scheme and training where required.

A growing firm of accountants in Hereford with a wide and varied client base covering numerous industries and business entities, is seeking a senior/semi-senior accountant.

We want our staff to reap the benefits of their hard work, so we employ a bonus scheme for staff where they bring new clients on board.

This exciting opportunity will appeal to an entrepreneurial ACCA/ACA qualified/finalist accountant who is looking to further their career within a forward thinking practice. The successful candidate is likely to have at least 3 years previous experience gained within a general accountancy practice.

Responsibilities to include:

• Reporting to the director and assisting with the development and promotion of the practice.
• Manage a growing portfolio of clients
• Complete year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Complete self-assessment and corporation tax return forms
• Deal directly with clients and form new client relationships
• Manage VAT returns, MTD and oversee the process
• Ad hoc needs as per the client and practice requirements including implementation of technology packages.
• Use of Xero, Receipt Bank and other accounting packages

  The practice is experiencing a period of growth and this is a great time to come on board to help forge relationships and working practices. With very much an entrepreneurial outlook, the practice is also keen on helping individuals train and achieve practicing certificates where required.
