The government have announced that from NEXT WEEK they will launch a scheme to help assist lenders provide funds/loans to businesses.

This scheme should be available through your lender/bank. So your lender/bank should be your first port of call to try and access to these funds. At present banks themselves are still waiting for further details of how it will work in practice. However, we know that:

• The government will guarantee 80% of loans and will not charge businesses or banks for this guarantee.
• The scheme will support loans of up to £5 million in value.
• Businesses can access the first 6 months of that finance interest free, as government will cover the first 6 months of interest payments.
